During the series, Anderson and the truck scored multiple championships, and would go on to win the series championship. While Murphy was eventually furloughed due to budget cuts by FELD Entertainment as a result of the pandemic, Bakugan Dragonoid was featured in Monster Jam’s return event in Arlington, with Ryan Anderson driving.Īnderson drove Bakugan Dragonoid throughout a majority of the 2021 Monster Jam season, including that year’s Stadium Championship Series. Bakugan Dragonoid would ultimately finish in the runner-up position in the series standings, right behind Charlie Pauken in Grave Digger.Īfter the entire Monster Jam season was put on hold beginning in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bakugan Dragonoid was placed into hiatus for the time being. During the series, Murphy continued to maintain his momentum from the previous series, winning five racing championships, five Skills Challenge championships, a freestyle championship in Oakland, and two overall event championships in Houston and Anaheim, respectively. In 2020, Bakugan Dragonoid competed in Monster Jam Stadium Championship Series Yellow. During the event, they would make it all the way to the Championship Race on the second night, but lost to Coty Saucier in Monster Energy. Murphy and the truck were later invited to compete in the inaugural Monster Jam All-Star Challenge in October, where they were drafted into Team Fire. He would later finish second in the High Jump competition the following day, as well as in Freestyle, as the truck suffered a massive crash that twisted the front axle housing in the process. During the Main Event, Murphy would make it all the way to the Semi-Final Round, but would be disqualified after red-lighting the race against Bari Musawwir in Zombie Fire. Murphy and the truck would later be invited to compete in the Main Event and High Jump competitions for Monster Jam World Finals XX in Orlando. This ultimately resulted in Bakugan Dragonoid finishing third in the series standings, with a total of 418 points. Murphy and the truck would go on to win five additional racing championships, five Two-Wheel Skills championships, two freestyle championships and two overall event championships. During the event, the truck would win the racing and Two-Wheel Skills competitions, and would later win the overall event championship. The truck later made its competition debut the following year at the opening event of Stadium Championship Series 1 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. Bakugan Dragonoid was originally announced in late 2018, with Camden Murphy as the driver.
